Shotaro Nishimura
 
 
Born in Akita[Japan] in 1992,Shotaro Nishimura began to study the piano at age of 7.
 
He won the award at various competitions over the world.
In 2009,the 15th Hupfer Tosu Piano Competition(2nd prize) in Japan.
In 2013,the 25th Vega Takarazuka Music Competition(1st prize) in Japan.
In 2016,the 5th Imola Piano Award(1st prize) in Italy and the 14th Tokyo Music Competition(2nd  prize and audience prize) in Japan.
In 2017,the 11th Campillos International Piano Competition in Spain(3rd prize).
In 2018,the 21st Jean Francaix International Piano Competition in France(3rd prize) and the 56th Arcangelo Speranza International Piano Competition in Italy(3rd prize,Audience prize and Conservatorio "Giovanni Paisiello"prize).
In 2019,the 38th Delia Steinberg International Piano Competition in Spain(2nd prize),the 7th International piano competition “Ischia” in Italy(category “piano performance” 1st prize),the 7th Euregio Piano Award International Piano Competition in Germany(2nd prize),and the 8th Troisdorf International Piano Competition in Germany(2nd prize).

He has performed with important orchestra,such as the Tokyo University of the Arts Orchestra(Cond.Ken Takaseki),the Morocco Philharmonic Orchestra(Cond.Olivier Holt),the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra(Cond.Kazumasa Watanabe) ,the Malaga Provincial Symphonic Orchestra(Cond.Salvador Vázquez Sánchez),the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra(Cond.Takeshi Ooi) and the Russian Chamber Philharmonic St.Petersburg(Cond.Juri Gilbo).

He graduated at Omiya Koryo high school and Tokyo University of the Arts.He has studied with Prof.Takako Ogusu,Emi Takemoto,Koki Shimuzu,Nobuhito Nakai,Miwako Takeda and Katsumi Ueda.Also he has took lessons of renowned pianist such as Eva Poblocka,Andrey Pisarev and Micher Beroff.

Now he’s enrolled in Imola Piano Academy in Italy and studies with Prof. Leonid Margarius.
